La semana de los 55º premios anuales de la NAACP Image Awards está en pleno apogeo. En la antesala del espectáculo del sábado, los ganadores de algunas de las categorías más importantes de la ceremonia de este año han sido anunciados durante una serie de eventos no televisados.
Este año, Colman Domingo, estrella de «Rustin» y «The Color Purple», lideró las nominaciones con tres en las categorías de películas, incluyendo una nominación para Artista del Año. En televisión, Ayo Edebiri recibió dos nominaciones, una por su papel de apoyo en «The Bear» y otra por su participación especial en «Abbott Elementary».
En las categorías musicales, Victoria Monét y Usher lideraron el camino con seis y cinco nominaciones, respectivamente.
El viernes, la famosa diseñadora de vestuario, estilista y personalidad June Ambrose será honrada con el Premio Vanguardia en el Espectáculo de Moda de los 55º NAACP Image Awards. Y durante la transmisión del sábado, la activista y poeta Amanda Gorman recibirá el Premio del Presidente.
